Work at Home: Freelance Writing Positions

Get a freelancer– Get a freelancer I would say is probably one of the best to online companies to work with because there are literally tons and tons of jobs available on this site and if you need work done dealing with almost anything, you can post here also. You can become a Freelance Programmer, Web Designer, Copywriter or Translator and they help you find customers

from all over the world! It’s free to sign up and bid. Really good company.

Freelance Writing – The home page has hundreds of links. All of them pertain to writing and writers. You don’t even have to register. At the top of the main page, there is a link that says ‘freelance jobs’. If you click on it, you will be taken to a page with literally thousands of jobs in a number of different categories. If you can think of a topic, you’ll be able to find it here. Your greatest challenge at this site is deciding which job you wish to pursue.
With these resources, you should have no trouble easily making $300 – $500 a month from your writing. With more effort, $1000 a month is very possible. What are you waiting for? Get moving and begin your research, choose a project, pick up a pencil (does anyone do this anymore?), and write.

Examiner– Is a relative newcomer to the content website world, however many writers are finding it easy to make a good bit of money with relative ease. Examiner pays per page view, not based on Adsense revenue sharing or with low upfront pay.

This means that high search topics such as sports will be better than high ad-click-payment topics like travel and financing. The key to making money with Examiner is to carefully select your topic.

How to Make Money as a Feature Writer or Contributing Writer

Suite101– Has two levels of participation – you can be a Contributing Writer or a Feature Writer. Contributing Writers are required to post 10 articles in a rolling, three-month period but the articles can go into any topic category. Feature Writers must post one article per week minimum in their topic area, but can then contribute additional articles in other areas as well.
Suite101 pays an undisclosed percentage of Adsense revenue income through Google Adsense. The “Google juice” that Suite101 has is truly amazing – an article posted on Suite101 will usually be indexed within an hour or two and appears in search engines almost immediately. Truly astounding how quickly it happens.
TypeAMom.net -Type-A-Mom is a website devoted to mothers in any stage with any number of children and in any circumstance. You could contribute articles to the Preschooler section, or to the Mom’s-Over-40, or join the fun at the Grandmother’s category and see more ways to spoil those gorgeous grandbabies.

Writers who post articles to Type-A-Mom split revenue from Google Adsense blocks on the site 50/50 with the website. Each section has an editor so you are never completely on your own in terms of making sure the typos are out of your pieces after you publish them.

Odesk.com

Work at Home: (Internet Research Positions Available)

Hello everyone,

I have came across some really good sites that pay you to to search the web! Read below for more information…

This is how it works: Users search for an answer to a question either at a search engine or via a text message to the company. This question then get passed to an available operator (ie. yourself). You research the question, find the answer and send it to the client with your computer.

The good and the bad

The great thing with this type of work is that you can usually set your own hours and work from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. You don’t have to sit still for hours; you can answer questions whenever you get the chance. This makes it ideal for when you have little kids around.
The bad is that the pay is often rather low. Payment is by number of questions answered, so you need to work fast in order to make it worth your while. Work may not be available at all times either so really this type of opportunity for most will only be as extra cash rather than a full supporting income. There are some people however who do make decent money doing this.

Where can I find work?
Currently the companies below offer work. Each of the following has different requirements so please read through each website carefully.
1) ChaCha
2) Justanswer.com
3) AQA 6336
4) Mahalo Greenhouse

If you know of anymore, please add a comment under this post.

StudentOfFourtune is a homework help site where some people are earning good money by answering students’ questions. The most popular question category is maths but there are many other categories too including art and business. Many people are generating decent revenue by simply selling the same answers over and over again.

Something you might at first find confusing is that the word “Answered” is written next to most open questions. This means you can still answer them however and the buyer will choose which answer he wants to buy. He decides which answer to buy based on a small preview of answers available. StudentOfFortune acts as the broker and handles payment.

While this is a fairly new and not yet a very busy site, it is one worth keeping an eye on.

Work at Home: Make money creating educational content (Seemile)

Seemile is a new education marketplace where you can upload voice or video files of your lectures. You can set your own price and upon anyone purchasing it you will get paid, minus some commission which is kept by the site.

The site is still very new and obviously this is not an opportunity that will appeal to everyone but if you are able to teach a topic it could be worth giving the site a try!
